Using a Pendulum for Divination By Deanna Joseph
	The pendulum is one of the simplest ways to connect in with your Divine Guidance.  I like to use it to confirm something I am already sensing.   A pendulum is a crystal or pendant on a chain or string.  It can be something as lovely as a crystal point on a silver chain, or as simple as a screw tied to a piece of thread.  You simply hold the chain between your thumb and first finger and let the pendulum swing. To use your pendulum, it's best to sit so you can hold your arm perfectly still.    Ground before you begin (I cannot stress this enough) and call upon the Highest Light to give you your answers.  Hold the chain between your thumb and forefinger. Ask the pendulum to show you a yes - wait and see how it rotates.   It may swing back and forth, clockwise or counterclockwise.  Then ask it to show you a "no" and see how it swings.  Then test it by stating a true or false question.... "my name is abracadabra."   See what answer it gives you.   If you are connected at this point, then proceed to ask your "yes" or "no" questions, and it will give you a "yes" or "no" swing. You may have to experiment with which hand to use.  Some experts say use your dominant hand (your writing hand).   Others say use your left hand as this is your receiving hand. It can also be helpful to hold your pendulum at arms length in front of your solar plexus or heart chakra when stating your questions. Pendulum success varies from user to user.  If we have a great desire for an answer (ie., we really want that guy we just met to be our "soulmate"), we may influence the outcome of our reading.   So it's best used when we can be detached from the outcome.   I once had my husband ask me 10 "yes" or "no" questions about auto parts (a subject I have no knowledge of) and the pendulum gave the correct answer 7 out of 10 times.  So experiment and practice with a friend.
